Sol Coast Academy

Small-group co-op, enrichment and tutoring for ages 2.5–12, rooted in hands-on learning, creativity, nature, and connection.

Sol Coast Academy is an intentionally small enrichment and tutoring program in Solana Beach serving children ages 2.5–12 through early childhood programs, elementary enrichment, tutoring, camps, and special programs. For our younger children, families can choose a few days a week or make Sol Coast part of their everyday routine. We created Sol Coast to bring something different to our community: a place where children can build independence, resilience, confidence, and a sense of responsibility through learning that still feels imaginative, playful, and full of wonder. We believe kids should have the space to be kids while also learning how to care for themselves, connect with others, and become capable, curious learners. Our three classrooms are intentionally small (6-10 children), led by experienced educators with backgrounds in Montessori, Waldorf, art curators, yogi's and creative designers. We blend hands-on academics with art, nature, movement, mindfulness, practical life skills, and social-emotional learning. Just as much care goes into the environment as the curriculum, with individualized attention, no-tech learning, natural materials, and plenty of room for children to explore, ask questions, create, and be themselves. At its heart, Sol Coast is about building a strong sense of community and helping children genuinely enjoy learning while growing in confidence, independence, healthy minds and bodies.
